NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The governing authority of the City of Shiloh has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 0.51 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Shiloh City Hall at 1175 Main St. September 1, 2020 at 6 pm. Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Shiloh City Hall on August 4, 2020 at 6 pm and September 1, 2020 at 10 am. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 5.50 mills, an increase of .028 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 5.472 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $1.12and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead exempt property with a fair market value of $75,000 is approximately $.84.
