NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The governing authority of the City of Shiloh has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by .05 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Shiloh City Hall at 1222 Main St. August 8, 2023 at 6 pm. Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Shiloh City Hall on July 24, 2023 at 10 am and August 3, 2023 at 10 am. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 5.500 mills, an increase of .003. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 5.497 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $.25 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead exempt property with a fair market value of $75,000 is approximately $.15.
